Pontiac Aztek (2000–2005)

In 1999, General Motors unveiled the Pontiac Aztek concept car, aimed at Generation X. The concept received positive feedback, but the production version lost much of its originality due to cost-cutting and design simplifications. The result was an awkward design and a price higher than its competitors. Sales fell short of expectations, and despite some unique features for outdoor enthusiasts, the Aztek became a symbol of market failure and a staple in lists of the ugliest cars.
