How to Adjust the Right Mirror
- Sit up straight with your back against the seat. Turn your head to the right and look into the mirror.
- When adjusting horizontally, the rear fender of the car should be visible in the right mirror, occupying about 5-7% of the mirror’s view.
- When adjusting vertically, about 30% of the right mirror should reflect the sky and 70% should reflect the ground. This different ratio from the left mirror will help you better orient yourself when parking.
To check the adjustment, lean to the right so that your head is roughly in the center of the car’s cabin. If the right mirror is properly aligned, the entire rear fender should be visible. In your normal driving position, the mirror should show the adjacent lane, curb, or roadside.
