There’s no way to make this image not seem unsettling but there are varying degrees to how unsettling this scenario can be. The worst is the possibility that a real person is hanging from this tree in a strange cocoon, which would at least make it hard not to hope they’re doing it on purpose.

Granted, even that would leave most people with more than they’d want to unpack. At the same time, it would be hard to know (or even want to know) why this is here if someone left a sculpture hanging in the woods.
